The Facilities team, including Capital Projects and Maintenance & Security (M&S), is a cornerstone in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization. We are located across multiple areas within the KSCS network.

About Us 

From maintaining infrastructure to executing vital capital projects, our team plays a critical role in supporting the community’s well-being by providing essential services that keep the KSCS environment safe, secure, and functional. The main headquarters is located at the Operations Office, while the M&S team is based on the first floor at the Child & Family Services office, with the rest of the team scattered across various facilities and buildings. 

What We Do  

Our team is dedicated to delivering comprehensive technology services to all internal users within the KSCS organization. Our primary services include: 

General Maintenance & Repairs

Ensuring all buildings within the KSCS network are well-maintained and operational. We handle everything from simple repairs to complex troubleshooting, ensuring no detail is overlooked. 

Specialized Services Outsourcing

Procuring and managing specialized services such as HVAC repair and maintenance, as well as security and fire protection systems, to ensure the safety and comfort of all who interact with KSCS facilities. 

Office Moves

Facilitating internal office relocations to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations while providing a smooth transition. 

Capital Projects

Managing the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of capital projects that support the growth and needs of the organization. 

Workspace Design and Placement

Tailoring office spaces to fit the needs of internal teams, ensuring that work environments are conducive to productivity and comfort. 

Grounds Keeping

Regularly maintaining outdoor areas to provide a clean and safe environment year-round. 

Snow Removal

Monitoring and managing snow removal and de-icing to keep walkways and parking areas clear and accessible during the winter months. 

Routine Cleaning and Disinfection

Performing regular custodial duties to ensure a hygienic environment that contributes to the well-being of all staff and visitors. 

Ad-Hoc Maintenance Requests

Addressing unexpected maintenance needs promptly, ensuring the KSCS facility network remains in excellent condition and fully operational. 

Security Oversight

Providing security services for some of our satellite buildings, ensuring the safety of facilities, staff, and visitors. 

Event Support

Providing setup and take-down services for organizational and community events, ensuring smooth operations and transitions. 

Training and Meeting Room Setup and Take-Down

Organizing meeting rooms for training and events. 

Office Furniture Management

Repairing, replacing, or modifying office furniture as needed. 

Interoffice Packages

Handling internal package delivery and collection. 

Satellite Office Rentals

Managing satellite office space rentals. 

Support for the Homeless Shelter

Assisting with the needs of the Homeless Shelter. 

Ongoing and Future Projects

Managing various projects as required.

Collaboration with Other Services

Although our primary clients are the internal service teams at KSCS, our work ultimately supports everyone in the community. By creating a well-maintained, functional, and comfortable environment, we indirectly improve the experience of our clients who interact with KSCS’ services.
