Environmental Health Services Begins Annual Well Water Sampling

Kahnawà:ke Shakotiia’takéhnhas Community Services (KSCS) would like to inform community members who rely on well water that the Environmental Health Services team will be conducting routine bacteriological sampling throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
These samples test for E. coli and Total Coliforms, which are important indicators of water safety and quality.
To ensure accurate results, we prefer to collect samples from indoor taps, as they carry a lower risk of contamination. If you are not home during the day, we ask that you leave an outdoor tap accessible and turned on so the sampling can still be completed.
