First Nations Child and Family Services and Jodan's Principle Settlement Agreement - Information Sessions in Kahnawà:ke

The Kahnawà:ke First Nations Child and Family Services Liaison Officer, Loise Mayo, will be hosting a second series of Information Sessions on the First Nations Child and Family Services and Jordan's Principle Settlement Agreement and Compensation Process.
These sessions are open to all interested community members and eligible claimants. No registration is required; walk-ins are welcome.
The presentation will be delivered by Ms. Silverman, Gasgrain Quebec Claims Helper, and co-hosted by Louise Mayo. Following the presentation, there will be a Question and Answer period. Application forms will be available on site for those who wish to begin the process.
Eligibility
Children who were removed from their parents or grandparents by child welfare authorities between April 1, 1991, and March 31, 2022, and who, at the time of removal, were living on reserve with their parents or grandparents.
Parent whose children were removed from their care by child welfare authorities during the same time period, while living on reserve with their children.
Session Details:
Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Golden Age Club 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 9, 2025, Golden Age Club 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Refreshments and snacks will be served. Attendees will also have the chance to win one of two Shop Kahnawà:ke Gift Certificates.
