Recall Notice: McCain Tasti Taters Crispy Potato Bites

Kahnawà:ke – 10 Tsothóhrha/December 2025 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced a food recall for McCain Tasti
Taters Crispy Potato Bites due to the possible presence of foreign plastic material. This poses a potential choking hazard or risk of injury if consumed. This recall has been designated as Class II, indicating a moderate level of risk and ranking second among the three established risk categories.


The affected product is McCain brand Tasti Taters Crispy Potato Bites in size formats 800 g and 1.8 kg, and may include a product code of F250226.


Recommended Actions
• Do not consume the recalled product.
• Do not sell, serve, or distribute these items.
• Dispose of the product safely or return it to the retailer for a refund.


Foreign material in food products can cause harm if ingested. KSCS urges all community members to check their freezers and take immediate action to  prevent any risk.
