The Turtle Bay Elders Lodge Cooling Shelter: Extended Hours and Overnight Stay Available

The Turtle Bay Elders Lodge will serve as a cooling shelter today, extending its hours until 9:00PM, to support community members during the ongoing heatwave.
Community members who need a place to say overnight are welcomes to do so. Pre-registration is required and can be completed by texting or calling 438-221-0636 before 8:00PM.
With daily temperatures reaching up to 33 degrees Celsius and Humidex values reaching 40, it is crucial to stay cool and hydrated. The Turtle Bay Elders Lodge offers a safe, air-conditioned environment and refreshments to help prevent heat-related illnesses.
