From its inception, Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten Program has been a testament to our organization's pledge to infuse our work with the spirit and wisdom of our ancestors. What began as an internal initiative has evolved into a shared endeavor focused on embracing and preserving the wonderful richness of Kanien’kehá:ka traditions. The Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten Program offers learning and wellness opportunities primarily for Shakotiia’takéhnhas staff and to community members through collaborative events with community partners. Furthermore, we are dedicated to fostering deeper connections to our ancestral landscapes through on-the-land activities and cultural events for both staff and clients.
Our program is a living, embodiment of our values. Through an ever growing offering of educational resources, ceremonial experiences, cultural events, and training, we strive to enrich the minds and spirits of all who engage with us. Looking to the future, our vision remains clear. We aspire to empower our staff to integrate tsi niionkwarihò:ten values and principles into every aspect of their work, ensuring that our cultural legacy remains vibrant and enduring. This work is in line with the number one key priority area of the Shakotiia’takéhnhas Strategic Plan as well as the Community Wellness Plan which places tsi niionkwarihò:ten and Kanien’kéha at the center.

Together, we celebrate and honor the beauty, wisdom and resiliency of Kanien’kehá:ka language and culture, today and for the next seven generations.
