About Us
Our ARS team uses an approach that is built on kindness, respect and collaboration. We understand that every journey is unique, and we commend those beginning their path toward healing and wellness. We walk alongside you, offering guidance and support tailored to your needs and choices. Recovery is a personal journey, and we are here to support you and your family at every stage of the process.
What We Offer
Our services are designed to meet clients wherever they are in their journey. Whether you are exploring recovery for the first time, working to maintain abstinence or recovering from continued use, we offer comprehensive, personalized care and treatment plans to help you achieve your goals. We offer outpatient addiction services allowing individuals to receive care while maintaining daily responsibilities such as work, school, or family commitments.
Our multidisciplinary team works together from a range of expertise to provide:
Individualized treatment plans
These are tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.
Support at every stage
This spans from initial treatment to early recovery, ongoing treatment, and after care.
A trauma-informed approach
This recognizes personal, familial and community history that shapes individual experiences.
Addictions treatment initiatives
After meeting with a counsellor and completing an assessment, community members may be referred to addiction treatment programs based on their needs. This could include inpatient care, intensive or semi-intensive outpatient programs, or specialized services
While we strive to provide as many resources as possible, some needs may require referrals to specialized services, such as withdrawal management programs, treatment centres, family support services, or shelters. When needed, we work to ensure these transitions are seamless and supportive.
The range of services we provide to clients include the following:

Collaboration and Support
We work with countless departments and organizations outside of the community to ensure our clients receive the most comprehensive support possible. By fostering partnerships and building bridges to essential services, we’re here to support every step of the recovery journey.
Within KSCS, we collaborate with other teams to provide harm reduction education, group programs, and psychological support tailored to the needs of our clients.
Beyond our community, we partner with external resources to connect individuals to withdrawal management programs, treatment centres, family support services, and shelters.
Commitment to the Community
We work closely with the mental health team to ensure that each client receives a treatment plan tailored to their unique needs, goals, and choices. Our client-centred approach means that we listen, respect, and empower individuals to take the lead in their healing journey. We provide resources and support without pressure, recognizing that recovery is deeply personal and looks different for everyone. We stand with community members at every stage of their journey, offering guidance and understanding no matter where they are.
We also acknowledge the lasting impacts of intergenerational trauma faced by Indigenous peoples. These challenges can manifest through mental health or addiction struggles. We strive to create a safe space where community members can seek healing and improve their wellbeing.
