Assisted Living Services

Assisted Living Services (ALS)

is comprised of the Independent Living Center (ILC) and Family Support and Resources Services (FSRS). The ILC is a residential program for community members living with mental health issues. FSRS includes the Family Support Caseworkers, Young Adults Program, the Teen Social Club, and Lifeskills Support Workers.

The Teen Social Club

The Teen Social Club (TSC) is an after school program for individuals aged 12-18 years, who have physical and developmental disabilities. Programming is offered to enhance life skills, to promote socialization and to provide recreational outings. In the summer months, the TSC offers a regular program which runs 5 days/week.

Independent Living Center

The Independent Living Center (ILC) is a residential program for community members living with mental health issues.

The ILC focus is to foster and maintain independence and quality of life for Kahnawa’kehró:non living with mental health issues

The ILC provides a structured and supportive environment that promotes wellness and social integration.

Family Support & Resources Services

(FSRS)

This team is comprised of Caseworkers who work with individuals, families, and other professionals, to assess needs and develop a service plan. Services available include Lifeskills Support Workers, the Young Adults Program (YAP) and the Teen Social Club (TSC) The programs provide services to promote inclusion and work towards enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

The Young Adults Program (YAP)

The Young Adults Program (YAP) is a day program for adults, aged 19 and over, with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The YAP offers basic academic activities and programming to provide lifeskills, inclusion, recreation and social integration.

In the summer months, the YAP focus on social and cultural activities and outings.
