Kahnawake – August 22, 2014, Kahnawake Shakotiia'takehnhas Community Services is currently without a full-time Clinical Psychologist and is operating with a part-time Clinical Psychologist.
With this shortage Kahnawa’kehró:non may experience an increase in wait time when requesting this services. KSCS has implemented interim measures that could help ensure those who require services most are attended to in a timely manner. Beginning immediately, all new requests for services will be triaged and priority given those Kahnawa’kehró:non most at risk.
Once the vacant positions are filled; and the backlog (if any) of cases are addressed we want to ensure the community that access to services will return to normal. We would like to thank the community in advance for understanding.
