Status of the KSCS Drama Program Evaluation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

STATUS OF THE KSCS DRAMA PROGRAM EVALUATION Kahnawake – Wednesday April 9, 2014 - Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services (KSCS) wishes to update the community as to the status of the evaluation of the KSCS Drama Program.

The Organizational Development Services (ODS) team is currently finalizing the evaluation report. All analysis of the literature, documentation and data from the interviews and focus groups has been completed. The report is expected to be submitted to the evaluation steering committee by April 11, 2014.

ODS acknowledges that this process was a much larger endeavour than anticipated. Due to unforeseen circumstances the evaluation took significantly longer as it included an inventory of the contents of Kateri Hall and 20 years worth of information to gather and review. Two other factors relevant to the delay in completing the evaluation were:

  • A very large volume of data was generated from the focus groups and interviews. The evaluation team spent a significant amount of time analyzing the rich information while striving to honour the investment that participants made to the evaluation.
  • Additional analysis and validation was required since some critical internal documentation such as records of historical decisions were only located recently.

Once the finalized evaluation report is tabled, KSCS will determine the next steps as well how the report will be shared with community members of Kahnawake.
