kscs lowering rent at A'NOWARÁHNE
Kahnawake - January 16, 2012, Kahnawake Shakotiia'takehnhas Community Services (KSCS) will be lowering the rent for A'nowaráhne.
Rent will be lowered from the initial rate of $650.00 to $550.00 a month for the 2012 year. A'nowaráhne is not subsidized housing therefore KSCS receives no funding to oversee the facility. The original rental fees were influenced by the monies KSCS had to invest in the project and the ongoing costs for daily maintenance and future preservation.
KSCS has the responsibility to oversee the A'nowaráhne facility without any incurred costs and will be conducting annual operational reviews to help determine the rental fees for upcoming years.
UPDATE
There are currently two apartments still available for rent; each unit has a separate front entry, a spacious living room, kitchen, a bathroom, two bedrooms, and a back door. Application forms are available at the Home and Community Care Services office located at Turtle Bay Elders’ Lodge or at the KSCS main office located in the Services complex building, second floor.
