In respect of the overall mission, strategic directions, values and policies of Onkwata’karitáhtshera, this position is responsible for supporting and assisting community members to access healthcare and social services through Non- Insured Health Benefits and Jordan’s Principle coverage. The incumbent also contributes towards the identification of common needs and problems experienced by community members regarding access to services and towards the development of appropriate procedures and tools. Under the supervision of the Manager of Onkwata’karitahtshera Secretariat, independently applies learned skills, knowledge and practical experience to semi-routine tasks associated with the job family using established practices and standard procedures to complete assignments. Working with various community groups and members, develops program
proposals and budgets and provides updates to working groups. Develops capacity within the community to support the administrative activities of ongoing funding initiatives. Maintains access to and knowledge of various funding sources available to support community initiatives. Acts as representative or observer for Onkwata’karitáhtshera. Decisions are straightforward in nature, within clearly defined procedures and practices specific to the department or work
group and are regularly reviewed.

Under the supervision of the Homecare Team Leader, the Assistant Team Leader is responsible to provide support to the Team Leader of the Home Care Program, supervise Home Health/Personal Care Aides and provide services for the clients of HCCS. The Assistant Team leader, with minimal direction, respect to business objectives and organization philosophy, this is a developing leadership position providing focused, tactical guidance to a group of staff as needed. Combines fully qualified technical skills to contribute to the solution of moderately complex technical problems, with intermediate level skill. The Assistant Team Leader works in collaboration with the Team Leader on the development and implementation of
activities in area(s) of expertise to meet goals, service objectives and standards. The Assistant Team Leader may make
budgetary recommendations and approve staff expenditures, develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas as directed, selects, develops, evaluates and assists with personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. The Assistant Team Leader makes business decisions/exercises judgment within generally defined areas in line with policies and in alignment with objectives, alters approach or recommends broader procedural changes to improve effectiveness of group in consultation with manager when necessary. Under the supervision of the Manager of Home and Community Care Services, the Team Leader is responsible to supervise the staff in food preparation and to provide cooking services to the residents of the Turtle Bay Elders Lodge and elders within the community under HCCS (Meals on Wheels and Wheels to Meals).

Under the supervision of the KSCS Executive Director, the Executive Assistant provides analytical and specialized administrative
support to relieve the Executive Director of complex details; performs advanced administrative duties including issues of a highly
sensitive nature related to clients and/or Board of Directors interface. With general direction with respect to business objectives
and company philosophy, independently applies in-depth knowledge of learned skills and practices associated with the job family
to manage large, complex activities or projects. Knowledge and skills are considered mature or advanced. The Executive Assistant
works hand in hand with the Executive Director on any and all work designated by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
Executes special or continuous research and data analysis tasks. Analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes
data, and prepares reports/recommendations. Coordinates activities between departments and outside parties. Contacts

Under the supervision of the Manager of Onkwata’karitahtshera Secretariat, the Community Health Plan Liaison will support the subcommittees of Onkwata’karitáhtshera in coordinating and advancing action on the Community Health Plan (CHP). Requires networking with funding agencies, works with community-based health programs to develop proposals and budgets and provides updates about CHP initiatives to working groups. The Community Health Plan Liaison will develop health and social service capacity within the community by supporting Onkwata’karitáhtshera subcommittees and community-based health programs by reviewing literature, networking with expert advisors/consultants, reviewing best practices for community interventions and providing knowledge translation of this information to pertinent parties. Available to assist in evaluation of community-based health programs along with other team members. Acquire and distribute information on health program developments and support the subcommittees in drafting and revising documents, logic models, presentations and other plans as required. May be required to represent
Onkwata’karitáhtshera at key meetings or events interior and exterior to the community, or to act as an observer on behalf of Onkwata’karitáhtshera. In conjunction with the Onkwata’karitáhtshera Secretariat, the Community Health Plan Liaison will coordinate and facilitate the work of the Community Health Plan Priority subcommittees. Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor of Intake and After-Hours Response Services, the Intake Worker is responsible to answers calls placed to KSCS that reports abuse, neglect, addictions, psychology, psychiatric and elder issues from the community of Kahnawà:ke and provides supportive counselling.
Under general supervision, independently applies learned skills, knowledge and practical experience to semi-routine tasks associated with the job family using established practices and standard procedures to complete assignments.
Provides initial intake assessment and crisis intervention services as required to the community. Evaluates clients requests for services, screens to determine client needs by telephone or in person, offers short term counselling when required, gathers all pertinent information and passes on to appropriate resources immediately. Submits reports and liaisons with appropriate case managers and status team, enters and maintains data base.

With general management supervision, independently applies learned skills and knowledge associated with the job family to complete diverse, moderately complex assignments within defined policy and according to objectives. To provide support services to the Kahnawake foster homes and extended family homes via the Tsi Ionteksa’tanonhnha Foster Care Program, and to provide administrative support to the Tsi Ionteksa’tanonhnha Foster Care Program.
Assists in the recruitment and assessment of foster homes. Participates in clinical discussions, case conferences and placement & review meetings. Monitors the arrangements in a caring home for the foster child. Provides initial placement information regarding the background of the child & caring family. Counsels employees concerning health and welfare benefits, work-related problems and conduct termination interviews, provides feedback to management, when necessary. Investigates complaints as required. Develops job descriptions in conjunction with managers. Creates benefits brochures and employee’s handbooks. Conducts research and analyzes data on assigned projects. Assists in the formulation of compensation objectives, manpower goals, personnel policies and procedures.
